Mint Theater Company announced that the Silver Lining Streaming Series, the on-demand streaming of the three-camera archival recordings (filmed in HD!), will conclude on June 27th with two of Mint’s most acclaimed hits:  A Picture of Autumn by N.C Hunter, directed by Gus Kaikkonen and The Fatal Weakness by George Kelly, directed by Jesse Marchese.

All too often, the word dated is misguidedly used to diminish the impact a play of a bygone era can have on contemporary audiences. Take, for example, the puritanical attitude towards pre-marital sex expressed by many of the characters in English playwright Stanley Houghton's social commentary, HINDLE WAKES, which premiered in Manchester in 1912 and crossed the ocean to Broadway before the year was done.

The Players are ringing in the New Year with news that they have been recognized for their work during the 2017 Summer Season with 19 finalist nominations for the New Hampshire Theatre Awards! Michael Riedel of the New York Post has reported on rumors that, "Girls" and "Star Wars," star, Adam Driver, has expressed interest in starring in a revival of Lanford Wilson's play "Burn This."

Producers Stacey Mindich and Jessica R. Jenen announced today the postponement of the Broadway revival ofBurn This, due to scheduling conflicts with the show's star.  The show is now aiming for its Broadway bow during the 2017-2018 season.  

Today, a casting notice seems to confirm much of this with Mayer confirmed as director and the production set for a limited Broadway run in early 2017. The notice reports that rehearsals will begin in January, previews in February followed by a March opening and a June closing. This would follow the timetable of similar short-run star-driven play projects.
