The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs is proud to announce a new annual show to be held each fall, called MAC presents THEY WRITE THE SONGS. The inaugural show will be held Sunday, November 18th at 4pm at Baruch College's Engelman Recital Hall (Lexington Avenue at 25th Street).

When Phil Geoffrey Bond was named Programming Director at 54 Below, it became a given that the theatre district's spanking new nightlife venue would include on its schedule Broadway-centric evenings geared for the knowledgeable musical theatre fan who appreciates both past glories and upcoming works in progress.  The producer/host of the Laurie Beechman Theatre's popular Sondheim Unplugged series now makes a significant debut in the same capacities with New Mondays, dedicated to giving audiences a sampling of fresh material from accomplished theatre composers and lyricists.

54 BELOW, the new performance venue located just below legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, hosts some of Broadway's brightest stars tonight, July 9 through July 22. Coming up are Ben Vereen, Bucky Pizzarelli, Maury Yeston, MX Justin Vivian Bond, Joe Iconis, Jamie Deroy, Rebecca Luker, Annie Golden, Mara Davi and more.

Motherhood the Musical announced today they are giving away complimentary donuts from Dunkin' Donuts and $10 gift certificates to Standard Market, a specialty food store in Westmont, to all mothers in the audience on Mother's Day during performances at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Additionally, one lucky mom will be chosen at each performance to receive a $200 gift certificate to Standard Market.

The multi-award-winning, multi-talented vocalist, bandleader, and comedian Terese Genecco (pronounced "Teh-REECE Jeh-NECK-oh") is currently the longest-running nightclub act on Broadway, and is appearing as a headliner at The Iridium NYC every month - for more than 72 performances - since her opening night in March of 2009. As part of its Jazz & Popular Song series, directed by five-time Grammy Award-nominated singer and pianist Michael Feinstein, Jazz at Lincoln Center will present Cy Coleman: Bringing Jazz to Broadway on Tuesday, May 15 and Wednesday May 16 at 7:30pm. Feinstein, who featured Cy Coleman as a vocalist and jazz pianist in his nightclub the month before the famed composer died, leads a cast featuring Michele Lee (Coleman's Seesaw, Knots Landing), Tamara Tunie (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Broadway veteran Chuck Cooper, singer-songwriter Johnny Rodgers and, on May 16 only, James Naughton (The Devil Wears Prada) that illustrates Coleman's profound jazz influence on contemporary Broadway.
