Dedicated to the enrichment of young lives through experience in the theatre arts, the Centenary Stage Company's Young Performers Workshop returns to the Little Theatre August 9 through August 18 with the annual Summer Festival of Shows. These talented young thespians between the ages of 8 and 18 will present the classic musical theatre productions Assassins, The Act, and Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical, as well as the play Wait Until Dark and the Mini-Musical/One Act Playhouse.
Assassins will soon bring the infamous historical figures back to life with the musical's “everybody's got the right” very much at its center. Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for Assassins with music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by John Weidman and directed by Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Gigi, Follies).
