Acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer Tyler Childers will embark on an extensive, nationwide tour this fall with headline performances in his largest rooms and venues to date. Stops include Brooklyn's Brooklyn Bowl, Philadelphia's Union Transfer, Washington D.C.'s 9:30 Club, San Francisco's The Fillmore and L.A.'s The Troubadour among several others. Tyler Childers is nominated for “Emerging Artist of the Year” at the 2018 Americana Music Association Honors & Awards. The annual awards show will take place on September 12 at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.

Music icons Rodney Crowell and Jon Vezner are joining forces with Music Health Alliance to help Heal The Music. The 2nd annual “Heal The Music Day” will take place on Friday, October 19, 2018 as a day of nationwide music industry fundraising and awareness to support the critical and life-saving free services provided by Music Health Alliance.

Childers performed “Lady May” from his acclaimed debut album, Purgatory, as well as two previously unreleased tracks, “Nose to the Grindstone” and “22nd Winter.” Of the set, NPR Music's Lars Gotrich declares, “Tyler Childers writes songs about hard lives and hard love with direct heart. Today, Portland, OR-based singer-songwriter John Craigie announces the April 21st vinyl release date of his new full length Scarecrow. The completely analog album was recorded live to a 2 inch tape, mastered to tape, and cut straight to be pressed to vinyl.

As the date of April 4 th, 2018 marks the 50 th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s passing, Dr. King's inspiring work and dream of peace, unity, social equality and justice continue to remain as important as ever in the struggles facing our nation today.

Ride the Cylcone, this season's dark and hilarious co-production between The 5th Avenue Theatre and ACT - A Contemporary Theatre, is now in preview performances and has its official opening night this Thursday, March 22 at ACT - A Contemporary Theatre. The award-winning director and choreographer Rachel Rockwell has continued to refine and explore the world of Ride the Cyclone with its writers Brooke Maxwell and Jacob Richmond, returning to direct after working on its two previous U.S. productions in Chicago and Off Broadway. This co-production, which is the eighth collaboration between The 5th and ACT, will showcase new developments to the script and score. At least one third of the script has been newly created for this production, which is in addition to countless small but crucial tweaks and refinements. These new developments have continued to define and shape the world that the Saint Cassian High School Chamber Choir inhabits onstage.

Nashville singer-songwriter Langhorne Slim's Spotify Singles is out today. Featuring his original song “Life Is Confusing” and the Michael Hurley cover “Be Kind To Me,” the series truly showcases Slim's masterful songwriting and earnest delivery of truths that we may or may not want to admit.

Sixthman, the industry leader in festivals at sea who recently celebrated the milestone of taking guests on over 1,000,000 days of vacation at sea, is excited to announce the first wave of festivals at sea for the 2019 season. Fans aboard the recent sailings of The Outlaw Country Cruise, The Rock Boat, truTV's Impractical Jokers Cruise and Cayamo in 2018 were treated to advance news that each would return for another journey. 2019 will mark a return to Florida for Sixthman as the Spring sailings will depart from Tampa starting in the end of January.
