TRUE WEST To Be Directed By Ensemble Member Randall Arney

Steppenwolf Theatre Company is thrilled to announce that longtime ensemble member Randall Arney will direct the highly anticipated Steppenwolf revival of Sam Shepard's True West-the production that catapulted Steppenwolf onto the American Theatre scene in 1982. Reimagined through the eyes of the new generation of Steppenwolf artists, the 2019 production of True West features ensemble members Jon Michael Hill and Namir Smallwood. First Casting Announced For DEAR ELIZABETH At The Gate Theatre

The Gate Theatre have announced their next production, Dear Elizabeth, a two-hander by award winning US playwright Sarah Ruhl will be performed by a series of guest actors including Travis Alabanza, Jade Anouka,Tim Crouch, Tamsin Greig and Alex Jennings.

BWW Review: TRUE WEST, Vaudeville Theatre

When Sam Shepard's play True West made its New York debut back in 1980 it was something of a flop - since then, however, it has been recognised as an insightful piece of theatre, with the likes of John Malkovich, Gary Sinise, Philip Seymour Hoffman and John C Reilly taking on the roles of Lee and Austin at one point or another in their careers. It's taken until now for the play to have its UK premiere; Matthew Dunster's production at the Vaudeville Theatre is as much a way to celebrate Shepard's career (who died last year) as it is to make a point about our ongoing need to label people as certain things.

Missi Pyle and Sally Jo Fifer to Participate in 'State of the Union' Panel at the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival

The Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival (HSDFF), presented by Mountain Valley Spring Water, announced today that actress and HSDFF Honorary Chair Missi Pyle and Sally Jo Fifer, producer and CEO of ITVS and recipient of the 2018 “HSDFF Impact Award” will participate in a panel titled “State of the Union: A Symposium on Women in the Industry” this Saturday, October 27th at 10:30am CT at the historic Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa in Hot Springs, AR. The discussion, which will be moderated by Ashley Edwards, Programming Manager at the Bentonville Film Festival, is open to the public and free admission.

Rupert Friend to Star in William Brent Bell's SEPARATION

Rupert Friend will star in Separation, directed by William Brent Bell and written by Nick Amadeus and Joshua Braun.  The film is produced by Bell together with Yale Productions' Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, Russ Posternak and Jesse Korman, and RainMaker's Clay Pecorin and Russell Geyser.   Executive producers are Seth Posternak and Dennis Rice.  Yale Productions' Jon Keeyes serves as a Co-Producer.

Blue Mountain Gallery Hosts Pamela Berkeley Exhibition

Blue Mountain Gallery, 530 West 25th St in the Chelsea district of Manhattan, is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Pamela Berkeley entitled Then And Now. Included will be 30 oil-on-canvas paintings by the artist representing new works and an oeuvre spanning five decades of her career. The exhibition runs from Tuesday, November 27th to Saturday, December 22nd. There will be an opening reception and opportunity to meet the artist on Thursday, November 29th from 5 to 8 pm. Berkeley will also be at the gallery every subsequent Saturday for the duration of the show. There will be a second reception on Sat., December, 1st from 3 to 5.

This is an original play by Los Angeles playwright and actor, Greg White. The production is partly sponsored by the City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Department. It begins the second season in their new home in Pasadena.

This is an original play by Los Angeles playwright and actor, Greg White. The production is partly sponsored by the City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Department. It begins the second season in their new home, an intimate, historic chapel designed by esteemed Pasadena architects Marston and Van Pelt in 1911.
