This performance marks the 25th consecutive year that the CJO has been chosen for this singular honor.

John Lloyd Young Appointed to President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities

President Barack Obama appointed seven new members of the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. They will join 30 other private members appointed by the President and twelve federal representatives, whose agencies have cultural programs such as the National Endowments for the Arts and the Humanities, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, U.S. Department of Education, the Smithsonian Institution, the Library of Congress, the National Gallery of Art and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Supreme Court with Justice Kagan presiding.

Jennifer Barnhart - who made her Broadway debut in 2003 in the original cast of the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q - returns to the long-running hit at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.) starting with the Monday, November 11 performance at 8 pm. Ms. Barnhart will perform the roles she helped create over 10 years ago: as a Bad Idea Bear, kindergarten school principal Mrs. T, as well as her trademark 'second-hand' work with puppets Nicky and Trekkie Monster.

Meera Menon Wins Tribeca Film Festival's 2013 Nora Ephron Prize

The 12th annual Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by American Express, today announced the winner of the inaugural Nora Ephron Prize at the annual Women's Filmmaker Brunch held at Company 3 . The prize, presented by TFF co-founder Jane Rosenthal and Sally Singer, creative digital director, Vogue, was awarded to first-time writer/director Meera Menon (Farah Goes Bang). Menon was selected out of eight 2013 TFF filmmakers to receive a cash prize of $25,000 for work and talent that embody the spirit and vision of the legendary filmmaker and writer. The Festival runs through April 28.
