HENRY IV Featured in Globe Cinema Series; Hits Theatres 8/1

Shakespeare's Globe London Cinema Series continues with the London Globe Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Henry IV Part 1 starring Roger Allam, who won the Best Actor Olivier Award for his definitive performance as Falstaff in this production. Henry IV Part 1 will be shown in select movie theaters across the U.S. at 6:30 p.m. local time on Monday, August 1. Shakespeare's Globe London Cinema Series, a stage-to-cinema presentation by NCM Fathom, Globe Theatre and Arts Alliance Media, is an exclusive four-part in-theater series of the most classic of Shakespeare titles in U.S. movie theaters nationwide this summer and fall.

Pentagon to View THE GREAT GAME: AFGHANISTAN

The Tricycle Theatre is to perform its production The Great Game: Afghanistan for The Pentagon at the Shakespeare Theatre Company's Sidney Harman Hall, for two performances only. The two trilogy days - presented by the Tricycle Theatre, The Bob Woodruff Foundation, British Council and Shakespeare Theatre Company - will be performed to audiences of policy and decision makers, military and government officials, service members, veterans and their families.

This fall, Berkeley Repertory Theatre welcomes THE GREAT GAME: AFGHANISTAN, a sweeping cycle of short scripts by 12 top playwrights that caused a sensation in London. Presented in three parts - on different days or in one impassioned marathon - this unprecedented show explores Afghanistan over the last 150 years. Produced with the Tricycle Theatre and supported by the British Council, THE GREAT GAME makes its West Coast premiere in the Roda Theatre. This limited run begins October 22 and must end November 7. The executive producers for this exclusive two-week engagement are Bill Falik and Diana Cohen and the Strauch Kuhlanjian Family. Meanwhile, the Tricycle - which has gained renown in Britain for presenting plays that examine contemporary issues and investigate cultural diversity - is hosting Berkeley Rep's production of Tiny Kushner.
