DeLanna Studi, Cherokee performance artist and activist, shares a powerful, multi-faceted dramatic memoir in And So We Walked: An Artist's Journey Along the Trail of Tears. This frank, heartwarming and inspiring story recounts the experience of a contemporary Cherokee woman (Studi) who, with her father, embarks on an incredible 900-mile journey along the Trail of Tears to truly understand her own identity and the conflicts of her nation.

Sage Gateshead has announced four new Artists In Residence; Martha Hill, Beccy Owen, Hannabiell Sanders and Sågaboi who started their residencies this September will work on ambitious projects that will culminate in new recordings and productions in 2022.

Norfolk & Norwich Festival has today announced the full programme for its 2020 Festival (8 - 24 May). The vast and wide-ranging programme across 17 days showcases artists from around the city and county, welcoming performers from across the globe exploring whilst Norfolk's local identity. Presenting a huge variety of events including theatre, music, visual arts, literature, circus, outdoor and free and family activities, this year the Festival includes two world, and eight UK premieres. 2020 sees a brand-new Adnams Main Stage alongside the much-loved Adnams Spiegeltent in Festival Gardens, the heart and hub of the Festival will be offering street food and pop-up bars, and the beginning of a three-year programme dedicated to celebrating the festival's incredible 250th birthday in 2022.

The Sydney premiere of Malthouse Theatre's radical reimagining of Kenneth Cook's cult Australian novel Wake in Fright comes to the Sydney Opera House Playhouse this February as part of its UnWrapped series. Under the direction of Declan Greene (Sisters Grimm, Pompeii, L.A., Blackie Blackie Brown) audiences will be transported to an unsettling, visceral evocation of claustrophobia in the outback.

This Friday, Chicago-based post-punk trio Luggage will release their third full-length, Shift.  Recorded at Electrical Audio in Chicago with Matthew Barnhart (Shearwater, The New Year) as engineer, the album was recorded almost entirely live (with the exception of vocals and a few minor overdubbed embellishments). As a result, Shift bears Electrical Audio's trademark hi-fidelity perfection and organic purity. The band members' disciplined restraint and frequency-specific contributions allow the listener to hear every instrument, every nuance, and every tonal deviation. The calculated limitations on Shift not only serve to capture Luggage in their purest state, they capture the entire essence of Chicago. Icelandic singer-songwriter Ásgeir has today shared the first single & video from his forthcoming new album – premiered with KEXP, “Youth” is a reflection of the artist's childhood. He also announces his third album Bury The Moon will be released on February 7, 2020 on One Little Indian Records, with a full UK/EU/US tour to coincide.
