Cygnet Theatre closes its 10th Anniversary Season by presenting the San Diego premiere of Joe Calarco's Shakespeare's R&J. Part Dead Poets Society, part Lord of the Flies, Calarco's work takes audiences to an all-male Catholic boarding school where four schoolboys secretly discover Shakespeare's most famous love story. Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, presents the premiere of one of the 20th century's greatest novels, William Golding's Lord of the Flies, adapted for the stage by Nigel Williams, and directed by Barrington Stage Associate Artist Christopher Innvar (The Whipping Man and The Collyer Brothers). Pacific Symphony's "Festa di Firenze," is described as 'a lavish Opening Night celebration of Italian delights and dazzling piano virtuosity' as the orchestra launches the 2012-13 Hal and Jeannette Segerstrom Family Foundation Classical series with "Andre Watts Plays Brahms."
