Gabe Stone Shayer has been promoted to the rank of Soloist. The promotions, announced today by ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie, are effective immediately.

Ms. McBride and Mr. Wexler will be teaching from July 27-31, 2020, and Ms.  Hartley and Ms. Scalzitti-Kennedy will be teaching from August 3-7, 2020.

Sofranko's decision to pass the baton comes one year after moving to Michigan to serve as artistic director of Grand Rapids Ballet. Together with former associate artistic director Danielle Rowe, Sofranko will continue on as an advisor to SFDanceworks in its next chapter.

Mr. Thornley will continue to work as a production consultant on Ms. Kain's new Swan Lake which makes its world premiere in June 2020 and will pursue freelance and consulting opportunities.
