Birdland Jazz Club has announced its sensational line-up of lively talent for November 11-17, featuring New York Voices, Nilson Matta, Loston Harris, David Raleigh, Jim Caruso's Cast Party, and more!

On Tuesday, November 19, Brazilian samba-jazz master Nilson Matta will host an annual tradition at Jazz at Kitano: the Open House for Samba Meets Jazz Workshops, featuring an all-star faculty concert, followed by an open jam session for past and prospective workshop attendees, musicians of all levels, and fans of Brazilian jazz.

In collaboration with BNY Mellon, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will commemorate National Jazz Appreciation Month with Grammy Award winners, renowned musicians and iconic jazz masters this April 2013. Performing with creative bassist Chip Jackson, the Expedition's initial outing aims for uncharted, compelling musical territories while still entertaining a wide audience of astute listeners.

The Rubin Museum will explore illusion and human perception in this year's edition of the popular Brainwave series of on-stage conversations between mind scientists and thinkers from diverse walks of life. Opening today, February 6, the series will include 20 on-stage conversations, 50 film screenings, and an interactive experience in which the museum will become a Memory Palace. While illusion is usually associated with vision, the series will engage audiences through all five senses to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
