Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage is proud to present Scott Bryce and Jodi Stevens in 'Love Letters' by A.R. Gurney. One of the most beloved American plays of all time captures the romance of a lifetime as told through the couple's correspondence, and will be brought to life by celebrity couple and Connecticut residents Scott Bryce (Emmy nominee for ABC-TV's 'As the World Turns') and Jodi Stevens (Star of Broadway's 'Jekyll and Hyde' and 'Urban Cowboy'). Perfect for Valentine's Day, this limited engagement of 'Love Letters' will begin performances on February 4.

Count Dracula, the world's most famous vampire, returns to the New York stage in DRACULA by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston, based on the eponymous novel by Bram Stoker, began previews December 14, prior to its official press opening last night, January 5 at the Little Shubert Theatre (442 West 42nd Street). I will leave it to you, dear readers, if you decide to take in a performance of Jerry Mayer's Dietrich and Chevalier, to determine for yourselves if it's better off being a play peppered with just a few musical moments or a full-out concert with just a smattering of narrative.  As it stands now, the two-act piece with a plot that continually gets halted to present its collection of fifteen musical hits trudges along without much purpose.

John Bonanni, Big Fish Big Pond, Ltd and the New York Musical Theater Festival present the world premiere of Under Fire, a new musical set in the late 1970's during the bloody revolution in El Mirado, and based upon the 1983 motion picture of the same title. Directed, book and lyrics by Tony Nominee and Emmy award winner Barry Harman (ROMANCE/ROMANCE, THE Carol Burnett SHOW, ALL IN THE FAMILY) and music by Broadway composer Grant Sturiale (OLYMPUS ON MY MIND). Under Fire will feature choreography by Jonathan Cerullo.

I'M JUST GLAD YOU'RE HERE, a collection of songs with lyrics by Charlie Sohne, will be performed at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Monday, October 5 at 9:30 p.m. The show features performances by Celina Carvajal (Toxic Avenger, MTV's 'Legally Blonde: The Search for the Next Elle Woods'), Sevan Greene (Betrayed), Amy Justman (White Christmas, Company), Jed Resnick (Rent national tour, Avenue Q), Jodi Stevens (Urban Cowboy, Jekyll & Hyde) and Mariand Torres (Giant). The show includes music by David Gaines, Tim Rosser, Matt Van Brink, and Chris Wade.
