Rita Wilson to Host Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's ALL FOR THE HALL Fundraiser, 3/4

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's All for the Hall fundraiser will return to Los Angeles for the first time in nearly three years. The event, which will take place on Tuesday, March 4, at Club Nokia, will again follow a 'guitar pull' format, featuring performances by Country Music Hall of Fame members Vince Gill and Emmylou Harris, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Heart and Grammy Award-winning artist Jason Mraz. Acclaimed actress/singer/film producer Rita Wilson will host the event.

Lake Street Dive to Play Zankel Hall, 2/7

On Friday, February 7 at 10:00 p.m., Lake Street Dive brings its mix of soul, folk, and jazz to Zankel Hall as part of the ninth annual WFUV Live at Zankel concert series. The band, composed of drummer Mike Calabrese, bassist Bridget Kearney, vocalist Rachael Price, and trumpet-wielding guitarist Mike "McDuck" Olson will perform original songs from their forthcoming album, Bad Self Portraits, which is to be released on February 18, 2014. The quartet's previous albums have included fresh takes on popular songs (Fun Machine, released in 2012); a live album and concert-film (Live at the Lizard Lounge, released in 2011); and 2010's self-titled debut album of original songs. "It seems the only limitation we have," Kearney explains, "is that we try to make music that we would like listening to."

The Breeders' Cup announced today that more horse power has been added to the excitement and enjoyment of the 30th Breeders' Cup World Championships, with the creation of a star-studded concert in collaboration with Hip Card Productions on Saturday, November 2 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif. Lakeshore Records has released DEAR DUMB DIARY - Original Television Soundtrack digitally and it will be available on CD October 1, 2013. Emily Alyn Lind enrolls in Mackerel Middle School to portray Jamie Kelly - the diary keeper of Jim Benton's beloved books-turned-Hallmark Channel movie. Lind performs seven original songs for the soundtrack including, "Dear Dumb Diary," "My Awesomeness is Awesome," and "Dear Future Jamie," a cover of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi," and the new single, "Same Girl." The album also features a Karaoke mix of the title track.

The Old Globe today announced that San Diego musical artists The Midnight Pine and Stevie Harris have joined the lineup for the Globe's one-night-only Jeff Buckley Tribute Concert on Monday, Aug. 19 at 7:00 p.m. The concert, which features several prominent local artists covering the songs of the legendary musician, coincides with the Globe's upcoming production of The Last Goodbye, a fusion of Buckley's music with Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
