Conceived and produced by Megan Minutillo (in association with thewriteteachers.com), DUETS with The Write Teacher(s) Volume 7 will feature music from across the musical theatre canon, pairing one performer with their Broadway/NYC Idol - someone who has inspired them to join, and/or stay, in this crazy world of show business.

Tyla is native of Rumford, Rhode Island and is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory. She has appeared at various regional theatres across the country, and can currently be seen Off-Broadway in Sistas The Musical at The St. Luke's Theatre!

Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has selected Heather Makalani (Aladdin) and CJ Eldred (The Book of Mormon) as guests of honor at the March edition of Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame's Soiree. The Broadway duo will be joined on the program by a distinguished group of emerging artists from a variety of disciplines. Artistic directors Drew Fornarola (STRAIGHT, VeggieTales) and Tyler Spicer (Pharmabro) are also pleased to announce that the soirees will now be free with a reservation, as the company moves to a donation-based model for its programming.

The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) today announced the nominees for the 23rd Annual IRNE Awards, which honor the best of the previous year's actors, directors, choreographers, designers and companies across the full spectrum of large, mid-size and fringe theater companies. Moulin Rouge!, a new musical produced by Global Creatures, and An American in Paris, produced by the Ogunquit Playhouse, led with 12 and 11 nominations, respectively, in the Large Stage Musical Category. The Huntington Theatre led all companies with 31 nominations across seven productions, including 11 for Man in the Ring, the story of six-time world champion prizefighter Emile Griffith.
