St Helens Theatre Royal is preparing for an Autumn season of mellow fruitfulness - as well as fantastic music, hilarious comedy, beautiful ballet, Beatles, Blues Brothers and no fewer than TWO pantomimes.
This afternoon (13 August) at the Edinburgh Fringe's plush Symposium Hall, lively Mancunian Comedian, JACK GLEADOW, was named 2017 winner of the prestigious Amused Moose National New Comic award based on the votes of our eminent comedy industry panel.
Comedians Edward Aczel, Eshaan Akbar, Dan Antopolski, Mitch Benn, Markus Birdman, Jason Byrne, Keith Farnan, Stuart Goldsmith, Darren Hariott, Pete Johansson, Tony Law, Andrew Maxwell, Simon Munnery, Andrew O'Neill and Mark Watson will be performing MANWATCHING at Paines Plough's ROUNDABOUT @ SUMMERHALL at Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August.

Actor/writer/director Jay Baruchel (Goon, Goon: Last of the Enforcers, Man Seeking Woman) and writer/director Jeremy Garelick (The Wedding Ringer, The Break-Up) return to Just For Laughs ComedyPRO for a third year of JFL/Thruline Television Staged Readings. The duo will each helm an all-star cast of actors and comedians in a staged read through of one American and one Canadian script. The event takes place Thursday, July 27th at the Hyatt Regency Montreal during Just For Laughs ComedyPRO, the leading industry event of the comedy business.
