New Musical CLEAR Gets 8/27 Reading at NYTW, Directed by Stafford Arima

CLEAR, a new American musical by Paul Oakley Stovall (book, music and lyrics) will receive a reading in NYC on August 27th. Stafford Arima (Carrie, Altar Boyz) directs, with musical direction by Brad Simmons (Lysistrata Jones). CLEAR was first developed at the 2010 Eugene O'Neill National Music Theatre Conference, and has also received workshop productions at Dixon Place, About Face Theatre, and a concert reading at Pritzker Pavilion for the city of Chicago's IN THE WORKS program.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo presents A Civil War Christmas, written by Paula Vogel and directed by Tina Landau. Performances of this holiday-themed work began Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 7pm at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night was last night, December 4 at 7pm. New York Theatre Workshop's world premiere production of Food and Fadwa, written by Lameece Issaq and Jacob Kader, and directed by Shana Gold, opened last night, June 7. At an event held at Sardi's Restaurant in New York on Wednesday, June 21st, Heather Randall and Jack Klugman, along with the Board of Directors of the Tony Randall Theatrical Fund, and the Grant Selection Committee announced the beneficiary of the inaugural Tony Randall Grant.
