The Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) One Night Only 2017 Gala, which honored Margaret Alkek Williams for her many contributions to the arts community in Houston, was held on Saturday night at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Becky and Bart McAndrews and Paul-David Van Atta chaired the event.

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) launched the public phase of the JUST IMAGINE Where Dreams Take Center Stage campaign on Wednesday, October 19th with a kickoff event announcing the lead gift of $4,000,000 from Margaret Alkek Williams to name the Margaret Alkek Williams Center for Arts and Education.

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) along with event chairs Randy and Sandy Stilley welcomed 380 guests to the Who Dunnit? Gala on at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, April 23. Adorned in attire befitting an Edwardian murder mystery, TUTS supporters and theatre aficionados dined, danced and participated in an original presentation from TUTS - an interactive musical. Without it, rivers will crest with unpredictability and the danger of flooding threatens the villages that line them. Thus dictates the symbolic title of THE WEIR, Irish playwright Conor McPherson's moody, chills-inducing stage drama filled with somber, spooky and alternately bittersweet stories, now enjoying a thought-provoking revival production at South Coast Repertory through April 3.
