Over 100 new people move to Austin every day. And before you wonder why I've started a theatre review with that statistic, it means 36,500 new Austinites have not seen ZACH's A CHRISTMAS CAROL. This perennial favorite, running at ZACH every Christmas season for the last three million years (Okay, really, what is it now, four years?) adds much merriment to the Austin holiday season, and Austin theatre in general. It showcases the best of our community, and is top notch entertainment for those looking to bask in the joy of the holiday season. It's a perfect show to share with the family in town for the holiday - and a great representation of Austin's talent for the newcomer.

The Ballet Hispanico School of Dance offers adult dance and fitness classes that will keep you moving, fit, and energized. The award-winning Transcendence Theatre Company, lauded by audiences and critics for its high caliber series of Broadway inspired concerts, presents 'Gala Celebration,' an exhilarating musical spectacular and fundraising event closing the 2018 "Broadway Under the Stars' summer series. The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today the winners of the 2018 NYMF Awards for Excellence, which were awarded on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Hudson Terrace

 Australian playwright and composer Luke Byrneis excited to announce his original new musical Between the Sea and Sky will make its Off-Broadway debut later this summer as part of the 2018 New York Musical Festival's (NYMF) Next Link Project. Featuring an original book, music & lyrics by Mr. Byrne, Between the Sea and Skywill play a 5-performance run at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row beginning July 31, 2018.

The Madison New Works Laboratory, conceived by Broadway veteran James Moye, will launch its inaugural performance tonight at 6:30pm, featuring the new musical Divided, at the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts at James Madison University.

Transcendence Theatre Company, the non-profit theater company which produces the annual, award-winning 'Broadway Under the Stars' open-air performance series at Jack London State Historic Park in Sonoma County's Wine County, joins forces with several New York based Broadway veterans and artists for 'Sonoma Strong Benefit Concert for California Fire Recovery,' a one-night only performance, broadcasting live on Facebook from The Green Room 42 in New York City on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017.

The premiere of the new musical, The Time Machine, with book by David Mauk and Brenda Mandabach, music and lyrics by David Mauk, is an Official Selection of the 2017 New York Musical Festival, directed by Justin Baldridge with choreography by Jim Cooney and music direction by Kristen Lee Rosenfeld. Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre Company presents Sweet Charity, a classic American musical based on the Federico Fellini film, The Nights of Cabiria, about finding genuine love in a world of deceit. With big, brassy numbers and Fosse-esque choreography, Sweet Charity is a pivotal show that has defined jazz musicals. 

Chiseled morning show hosts, rock-hard reality show contestants and pumped up politicos took over the airwaves at this year's ratings-raising edition of Broadway Bares, an evening of elaborately staged burlesque production numbers that gave a new meaning to 'Bares TV.'

48 HOURS: 'Mommy Dearest' was Saturday's #1 program with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 4, 2014. It was the second consecutive week that 48 HOURS was Saturday's top draw with viewers.

The 10th Annual New York Innovative Theatre Awards Ceremony will celebrate the Off-Off-Broadway Theatre community and honor this past season's greatest achievements. The awards will be presented by celebrities from the theatre community at large.

On Monday, July 21, 2014, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 10 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2014 nominees at its annual event. Celebrating ten years and thousands of nominees, the IT PARTY took place at XL Night Club, 512 West 42nd Street.
