The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) presented the Women of Note concert series, celebrating female, queer and trans artists who are changing the landscape of musical theatre, on Monday, August 1 at The Duke on 42nd Street. Featuring dynamic sounds and incredible performers, this one-night-only concert event showcased even more artists than last year in two back-to-back performances. Ciara Renee of the CW's Legends of Tomorrow and Alan Menken/Stephen Schwartz's The Hunchback of Notre Dame and A.J. Shively of Bright Star will join the cast of MuseMatch VII: Songs for Sophia, an evening that seeks to answer the question, 'What happens when 15 composers go on a blind date with 15 singers?,' will be presented Saturday June 18th, 2016 , at 11:30 PM at 54 Below. Produced by Bill Coyne and Ariel Dobshinsky, all proceeds will benefit Sophia Maglione, an 8-year old girl who is fighting her second bout of Medulloblastoma.
