ChEckiT!Dance is accepting applications from female choreographers to the Fifth Annual ChEck Us OuT Dance Festival, an eco-friendly evening of dance celebrating female choreographers,on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 5pm at Solar One on the East River, NYC. Pieces from any genre of dance that can be adapted to an outdoor space are encouraged to submit. The deadline to apply has been extended to Friday, May 22, 2015 and the application form is available at www.checkitdance.com.

Antenna International Produces The Museum of Modern Art's Walking Tour App for Jacob Lawrence's Migration Series

Antenna International announces that it has produced the audio for The Museum of Modern Art's new self-guided audio tour of Harlem, a companion to One-Way Ticket: Jacob Lawrence's Migration Series and Other Work, on view now through September 7, 2015. The tour guides smartphone users through key Harlem landmarks and institutions from the 1930s and 1940s, the period during which Jacob Lawrence began his career as an artist.

Jessica Taylor/DAMAGEDANCE will give its full evening performance, GUT (and other works), on Thursday October 30th at 7:30pm at Dixon Place in New York City, NY. This 45-minute event features the founder and the artistic director, Jessica Taylor's newest trio, the NYC Premiere of GUT. It also presents her freshest solo WannaBe and two other pieces of repertory: In Your Hands, and Our Masks. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door, and $10 for students and seniors. The tickets can be purchased online at www.dixonplace.org.

Mysterium Theater presents the Project Gutenberg Adaptation in Two Acts of The Importance of Being Earnest, a classic comedy of manners, by Oscar Wilde, in which two flippant young men, in order to impress their respected beloveds, pretend that their names are 'Ernest,' which both young ladies believe confers magical qualities on the possessor. It was first performed for the public on February 14, 1895 at the St. James' Theatre in London, and is regarded by many critics and scholars as being the wittiest play in the English language. It is being presented as part of the Mysterium Theater 5th Anniversary celebration! Produced by Marla Ladd, and directed by Kaitlyn Tice.

Dixon Place, a non-profit multi-arts venue soon to be in its second decade, will feature the work of twelve prominent New York City choreographers to kick off the summer. TRANSLATE (Voices of Dance) will take the stage on June 27th and 28th at 7:30pm as a part of their eclectic programming. The TRANSLATE series is presented in an effort to spotlight mid-career choreographers across many styles as artists to watch in the near future. The selected artists are invited to participate in salon discussion sessions featuring topics that reinforce their foundation as dance artists and promote their work.

The Hollywood Arts Council presented their 28th Annual Charlie Awards Luncheon in theBlossom Room of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, home of the first Academy Awards ceremony, at a Sold Out event on Friday, April 25, 2014. Shauna McClure, Executive Director of the Hollywood Arts Council said: "This was the record breaking year of all time in the Hollywood Arts Council's 36-year history. We raised $110,000 at this year's luncheon. Our Online Auction is still open atwww.biddingforgood.com/hollywoodartscouncil. The auction items include one-of-a-kind items, tickets to shows, art and the like. Bidding will close at 12-Midnight on Wednesday, April 30, 2014."

Jessica Taylor/DAMAGEDANCE, will present a world premiere during their New York City Season May 3-4, 2014 at Manhattan Movement and Arts Center (248 West 60th Street, New York, NY). Artistic Director Jessica Taylor has revealed this season's repertoire, which offers two programs. Program A (Saturday, May 3 at 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm) features guest artist Antonio Brown of Bill T Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, and Program B (Sunday, May 4 at 4:00 pm) features guest artist Nicole Corea of Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. DAMAGEDANCE's season promises to deliver impressive talent, and innovative choreography.
