One of musical theater’s most beloved offerings, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music is again brought to life by Studio Tenn in a lovely – and certainly crowd-pleasing – production through July 16 at Christ Presbyterian Academy’s Soli Deo Center, which marks the welcome return to the Nashville stage of director/choreographer Emily Tello Speck, who helms this production with her confident style and considered artistic vision.

The Encore Musical Theatre Company has announced that renowned Broadway artists John McDaniel and Jessica Grové will take the stage for a one-night-only cabaret performance on June 30th. Audiences can expect a personable evening of music and conversation, showcasing the immense talent and artistry of these two extraordinary performers.

Award-winning actress Marsha Mason (Fire and Air, Impressionism,The Goodbye Girl) joins the cast of The Trauma Brain Project, (www.thetraumabrainproject.com), a one night theatrical event on Monday, April 9th at 7pm at The Jerry Orbach Theater in The Theatre Center (210 West 50th Street, 3rd Floor), it was announced by producers Katherine Elliot, Shannon Lower, and executive producer Pat Flicker Addiss. Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Today's big news: Annette Bening leads a reading of IF ALL THE SKY WERE PAPER this evening in L.A., and COST OF LIVING opens tonight at Manhattan Theatre Club!

Among such actors is Annabelle Fox, a graduate of the Belmont University Musical Theatre program, now living in Inwood, New York City, with her husband Douglas Waterbury-Tieman (also a Belmont grad), whom she met in school.

After auditioning performers in New York City, Los Angeles and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre has confirmed casting for all five shows in the 67th Music Circus season. The cast is loaded with Broadway veterans-some of whom are making their Music Circus debuts-Tony Award nominees, and audience favorites from previous Music Circus productions.
