NEW DRAMATISTS, Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, proudly announces that the late Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Horton Foote will be honored with their 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 60th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute, to be held Tuesday, May 19th at the New York Marriott Marquis. New Dramatists 60th Annual Spring Luncheon has been underwritten by Bob Boyett.

Bobby and Danny have been entertaining Key West audiences for many years. 'A Couple of Swells' is a musical journey through their experiences of growing up, adventures in show biz and finally settling in Key West. Celebrating 50 years of presenting 'the music and magic of Broadway,' the Diablo Theatre Company, formerly known as DLOC (Diablo Light Opera Company), is honoring repeated patron requests for a full-scale, eye-popping production of the classic Broadway musical 'Hello, Dolly!' Tony Award-winner Faith Prince, currently starring on Broadway as the evil Ursula in Disney's The Little Mermaid, has been added to the starry line-up for The Actor's Company Theatre (TACT) 'Sweet Sixteen' gala honoring legendary actress Angela Lansbury on Monday, May 11th at The Hudson Theatre (145 W. 44th Street). Ms. Prince will perform 'If He Walked Into My Life,' the eleven o'clock number from Jerry Herman's Broadway musical Mame. The celebratory evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception and silent auction. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. TACT company member Simon Jones (who stars with Ms. Lansbury in Blithe Spirit) will serve as master of ceremonies and introduce the evening's entertainment set to commence at 8:30 p.m.

Reprise Theatre Company presents Brian Stokes Mitchell Sings Broadway, a program especially created for Reprise. It will have one performance only on Monday, May 11 at 8 pm, at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.

Nominations in 27 competitive categories for the American Theatre Wing's 63rd Annual Antoinette Perry 'Tony' Awards were announced today by Tony Award Winners Cynthia Nixon and Lin-Manuel Miranda from the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

On Monday, May 5, the Tony Administration Committee revealed the names of a quartet of honorees who are to be recognized in the four non-competitive Tony categories. Composer/lyricist Jerry Herman, Virginia's Signature Theatre, and longtime press agent Shirley Herz will be honored at the 63rd annual Tony Awards ceremony on June 7. Actress/writer Phyllis Newman will receive the newest Tony Award for her volunteer work as an advocate for women's health.
