Cast Announced For CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF At Drury Lane, Opens Today

Drury Lane Theatre announces casting for its sultry summer drama, Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, directed by Tony nominee Marcia Milgrom Dodge (2009 Broadway revival of Ragtime, Drury Lane's Smokey Joe's Cafe). Cat on a Hot Tin Roof runs July 5 - August 26, 2018, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The press opening is scheduled for Today, July 12 at 8:00 p.m.

Cygnet Theatre Presents LA CAGE AUX FOLLES For Two Nights Only

Cygnet's 2018 Summer Benefit promises to be anything but a drag. For two nights only, the six-time Tony Award-winning musical La Cage aux Folles comes to Cygnet Theatre for a staged concert reading. Proceeds benefit Cygnet Theatre's Artist Advocate program, which provides the financial support needed to hire the most talented artists and to pay them a meaningful wage. With book by Harvey Fierstein, lyrics and music by Jerry Herman, and directed by Sean Murray with musical direction by Patrick Marion, the benefit takes place August 6 and 7.

American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) and the Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts at Northwestern University announce the Equity cast members of Something in the Game: An All-American Musical, directed and choreographed by David H. Bell with book by Buddy Farmer, music by Michael Mahler and lyrics by David H. Bell and Michael Mahler. The production will run July 20 - August 5 at the Josephine Louis Theater, 20 Arts Circle Drive, on the Northwestern Evanston campus. The Press Opening is Saturday, July 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Bristol Riverside Theatre's Summer Music Fest travels back in time to the 60s and 70s with Time in a Bottle on July 12-22.  With songs like Just The Way You Are, Let It Be, and The Way We Were, this program takes a chart-topping trip through favorite songs of the decades.  Keith Baker and the BRT Concert Band are joined by BRT veterans Demetria Joyce Bailey, Philip Chaffin, Kevin Toniazzo-Naughton, and Maggie Griffin-Smith with BRT newcomer Jake Blouch.
