Jennifer Jasper & Teatro Paraguas to Present I CAN HEAR YOU...BUT I'M NOT LISTENING, 1/9-10
by Tyler Peterson
- Dec 8, 2013
Jasper, in association with Teatro Paraguas, presents a night of twisted and hilarious personal storytelling from Jennifer Jasper in I Can Hear You ... But I'm Not Listening. Unscripted and improvised, Jasper explores her experiences as the middle daughter in a family of five girls with colorful (and off-color) stories. From her early efforts at speech therapy to her Laura Ingalls Wilder obsession to her discovery of her grandfather's "interesting" hobby, Jasper's expert comic skills and her gift for wringing laughs from the dark and uncomfortable moments of growing up make each performance unique and revealing.

The JewelBox Theater Presents FAMILY AFFAIR Tonight
by BWW News Desk

Jennifer Jasper didn't speak until she was 3 years old. And when she finally did, in full sentences, her family didn't understand her. But growing up the middle child of five girls, struggling to express herself, she forged a knack for observation, turning those observations into comedy. Her stories are brutally honest, sometimes poignant, and absolutely hilarious.
