Jessie Mueller, John Treacy Egan and Conrad John Schuck Join Cast of NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT on 3/29

The producers of the hit musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT have just announced that Tony Award nominee Jessie Mueller, John Treacy Egan and Conrad John Schuck will join the production on Friday, March 29th in the roles of Billie Bendix, Chief Berry and Senator Max Evergreen (respectively). Kelli O'Hara, Stanley Wayne Mathis and Terry Beaver played their final performance on Sunday, March 24th.

Frank Wildhorn's EXCALIBUR to Play St. Gallen Theatre

For ARTUS - Excalibur the St.Gallen Theatre is pleased to once again be working with the successful composer Frank Wildhorn, who previously composed the thoroughly successful musical in St.Gallen Der Graf von Monte Christo (The Count of Monte Christo) (Japanese premiere in 2013). Together with Ivan Menchell (script) and Robin Lerner (lyrics), he will turn the legendary tale of Arthur and his sword Excalibur into a stage musical.

Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time TonyAward-winning play, began performances last night, March 18, 2013 at New World Stages. The cast includes returning Broadway cast members Rick Holmes, now playing Black Stache, Jason Ralph, now playing Boy, along with Kevin Del Aguila as Smee, Matt D'Amico as Slank, and Evan Harrington as Alf, all reprising their roles. They are joined by Nicole Lowrance (Molly), Edward Baker-Duly(Lord Aster), Josh Grisetti (Fighting Prawn), Alex Hernandez (Captain Scott), Nate Miller (Ted), Andrew Mueller (Prentiss), Jon Patrick Walker (Mrs. Bumbrake),Jordan Geiger, Joanna Howard, and Graham Stevens.

Playwrights Horizons World Premiere of The Flick, a new play by Obie Award winner Annie Baker (Circle Mirror Transformation at PH, The Aliens, her recent adaptation of Uncle Vanya), opened last night, March 12. Directed by Obie Award winner Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, Kin and The Big Meal at PH; Seminar and Picnic on Broadway), the production will play through Sunday, March 31 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street). New York Philharmonic's CAROUSEL Concert to Air 4/26 on PBS

The next episode of Live From Lincoln Center features the New York Philharmonic's staging of Rodgers and Hammerstein's iconic musical Carousel, which stars Kelli O'Hara, Nathan Gunn and Stephanie Blyth on April 26 at 9 p.m. (ET). The final broadcast of the season airs on May 24 at 9 p.m. with host Audra McDonald performing at a special gala concert. Please check local listings for exact air times in each market.

Following the news that both Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck would be departing the long-running ABC daytime talk show, Showbiz 411 reports that executive producer and co-host, Barbara Walters, is gunning for Brooke Shields to join the panel.

DRG Records has released the new 2013 Broadway cast recording of Roundabout Theatre Company's critically acclaimed Broadway production of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award-winning musical comedy The Mystery of Edwin Drood, which closed on Broadway yesterday, March 10, at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street). Cast members performed from the album at the Upper East Side Barnes & Noble (86th & Lexington Ave.) on March 8, joined by Will Chase, Jim Norton, Gregg Edelman and Chita Rivera for a CD signing following the performances.
