Cleveland Play House, with license from the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER) and Broadway Impact, will produce a one-night-only staged reading of '8,' a play chronicling the historic trial in the federal constitutional challenge to California's Proposition 8, written by Academy Award-winning screenwriter and AFER Founding Board Member Dustin Lance Black.

Tonight, June 10th, 2013 at 7pm, Terri Conn (As the World Turns), Anthony Rapp (RENT) and Patrick James Lynch (Stop The Bleeding!) will lead a benefit reading of 'Deleted Scenes' at The Mainstage Theater, 416 W 42nd Street. Proceeds from the benefit will go to the Hemophilia Association of New York.Lynch, a severe hemophiliac, and his company organized the event in an effort to raise not only money for hemophilia, but also awareness of the disorder. Said Lynch, 'It's an excellent opportunity to bring together two communities that may otherwise not find each other.' Lynch lost a sibling to complications from hemophilia in 2007 and has since worked to better integrate outreach & advocacy with entertainment.
'Deleted Scenes' observes two ex-friends forced to reunite to record the director's commentary track for their hit indie film five years after the film's release. Josh (Lynch) is now a star and writer/director Brian (Rapp) is floundering. When Brian's ex Madison (Conn) shows up unexpectedly, tensions rise and old rivalries spill over into the studio.

The 2013 season will include fully staged productions of new plays by Seth Zvi Rosenfeld andMozhan Marno, as well as two exciting musical workshops: the Steve Martin & Edie Brickell collaboration Bright Star (featuring music from their newly released recording "Love Has Come For You"), directed by Tony Award-winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago); and A new musical inspired by The Brooklyn Hero Supply Company, music and lyrics by Peter Lerman, book by Simon Rich, based on characters created by Pulitzer Prize winning novelist Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman, directed by Tony Award-winner Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening).

Partial proceeds from the pre-sale of his new studio album, Where It All Began, will benefit HRC.
