The Theatre World Awards presentation were held at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street, in an invitation-only ceremony, Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Peter Filichia hosted, Barry Keating directed, and Mary K. Botosan, Kati Meister, and Erin Oestreich were the event's producers. John Willis, a founder of the Theatre World Awards, was in attendance.

Jennifer Barnhart Returns to AVENUE Q 5/2

Jennifer Barnhart - the original AVENUE Q cast member who performed with the show for over seven years from the very beginning at the Vineyard Theatre through its entire run on Broadway - will once again join AVENUE Q when she resumes the roles of Mrs. T, Bad Idea Bear and other characters on Sunday, May 2nd at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) in Manhattan.

Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 11, the annual holiday CD benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), goes on sale Saturday. The CDs are sold at participating Broadway and off-Broadway shows in New York during a six-week 'Gypsy-of-the-Year' fundraising period which runs this year from October 24th through December 8th.

After 6 years on Broadway the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q will play its final performance today, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th, 2009. It will have played 2,534 performances and 22 previews, surpassing THE PRODUCERS (on August, 17th), ANNIE, OKLAHOMA!, and PIPPIN, among many others to become the 20th longest running show in Broadway history.
