Actor/writer/LGBTQ cause celebre Matthew Wilkas L.A. premieres his latest theatrical piece (co-written with Mark Setlock) BORN TO WIN at the Celebration Theatre @ the Lex beginning February 13, 2019. Focusing on the shenanigans that can go on during a little girls' beauty pageant, Matthew takes the stage facing off with the always working Los Angeles Theatre darling Drew Droege. Michael Matthews directs with choreography by Janet Roston.

Amanda Duarte: Staying Alive, the raw, intensely personal new show written by and starring Duarte, loosely inspired by the film Staying Alive and featuring music from the best-selling soundtrack including songs by The Bee Gees, will play three performances only at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street): Sunday, February 3 at 7 PM, Sunday, March 3 at 7 PM, and Tuesday, April 2 at 7 PM.

The title of Amanda Duarte's show at Joe's Pub, STAYING ALIVE, suggests that she is hanging by a thread. Perhaps the desperation implied in the title led me to think we'd see Duarte portraying a woman in the middle of a crisis. Instead, we were given a still-struggling-but-mostly-strutting-on-the-other-side-of-trauma kickass woman, captivating us with her presence, singing, playful dancing, and storytelling.

Full Armor Films will bring together stars of stage and screen - big, small and computer - for 'American Reject,' the production company's latest project about a rejected reality tv competition finalist forced to seek redemption in her hometown with the cameras following her every move. The story is based on the real-life reality competition TV show experience of the project's writer, co-producer and star Kathleen Elizabeth Monteleone.

The Playhouse On Park production of The Diary of Anne Frank, based on a new adaptation by Wendy Kesselman and directed by well-known New York actor, Ezra Barnes, is up for four major awards at this year's Connecticut Critics Circle Awards being presented on June 11th, at the Westport Country Playhouse.

His third world premiere commission for McCarter, Durang's follow-up to Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (2013 Tony Award for Best Play), is a decidedly dark and daring comedy taking hilarious aim at today's absurd and dangerous world. Directed by McCarter's Artistic Director and Resident Playwright Emily Mann, the play runs May 4 - June 3 in the Berlind Theatre.

Producers Eva Price and Sucker Love Productions have announced that actor, singer and television personality FRANKIE J. GRANDE will step into the role of Blaine Tuttle in CRUEL INTENTIONS - the new musical nightlife experience based on Roger Kumble's 1999 cult-hit film, now playing at downtown hotspot (le) Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street). Grande joins the cast on Sunday, March 18.
