Moisés Kaufman to Direct Berkeley Rep's PARADISE SQUARE: AN AMERICAN MUSICAL, A.J. Shively, Kennedy Caughell, and More Star

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

Change of Date and Venue for Actors Bridge Ensemble's Production of Sarah DeLappe's THE WOLVES

Performance dates and a change in venue are in order for the Actors Bridge Ensemble's production of The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe. Originally scheduled to open this Friday night at Belmont's Black Box Theatre, the Nashville premiere of the 2017 Pulitzer Prize-nominated play about a girls' indoor soccer team will now run November 30-December 2 and December 6-8 at the Darkhorse Theater, 4610 Charlotte Avenue, according to ABE artistic director Vali Forrister.

2018 Indie Memphis Announces Annual Awards

 Indie Memphis Film Festival is pleased to announce this year's award recipients. This year's festival spanned from November 1st through November 5th and proudly boasted an extremely diverse roster of filmmakers, with fifty percent of the films in the Narrative Competition directed by female-identifying filmmakers and fifty percent are directed by people of color; in the Documentary Competition, forty-three percent directed by women and seventy-one percent by people of color.

Signature Theatre & American Theatre Partner On New Series Of Free Panel Discussions

Signature Theatre will partner with American Theatre, the national magazine for the American professional not-for-profit theatre published by Theatre Communications Group, on a new series of panel discussions covering subject matters relevant to theatre audiences and practitioners. All panels, which are free and open to the public, will take place at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

The CSO's Annual HOLIDAY POPS To Ring In The Season

An annual Columbus tradition since 1983, the CSO's Holiday Pops is the creation of chorus master and conductor Ronald Jenkins who has led all 108 performances to date. In 2018, Jenkins, the musicians of the Columbus Symphony, and the 130 members of the Columbus Symphony Chorus, will be joined by more than 100 voices from the Columbus Children's Choir, dancers from the BalletMet Academy, narrator Steven Crawford, and of course, Santa Claus for this heartwarming holiday spectacular.

Barry Jenkins' PASTEL production banner set a first-look television deal at Amazon, according to Variety. Under the deal, he will exclusively develop television series for Amazon Studios.

Emory Cohen, India Eisley Cast in True Crime Drama THE DOUGHERTY GANG

“The Dougherty Gang,” is based on a true story and the GQ article 'The Whole True Story of the Dougherty Gang' by Kathy Dobie. Written & directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sean McEwen (Whaling”), The Dougherty Gang is his second directorial feature film, having also shepherded as a producer a number of hit films including: “Another Happy Day,” “Bernie” “Graceland” and “Punching Henry.” Starring Emory Cohen (“Brooklyn,” “The Place Beyond the Pines” “War Machine”), India Eisley (Patty Jenkins “I Am The Night,” “Underworld: Awakening,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”), and Sam Strike (“Timeless,” “Leatherface,” “EastEnders”), as three siblings whom embark on a cross-country crime spree, hoping to start a new life across the border. Tess Harper (“No Country For Old Men,” “Tender Mercies,” “Crimes of the Heart”), meets them on their journey, while Cory Hardrict (“American Sniper,” “Warm Bodies,” “Battle Los Angeles”), and Treat Williams (“Chicago Fire,” Deep Rising,” “Blue Bloods”) work to bring them to justice.
