Vassar College has announced the lineup for the 37th Powerhouse Theater Season. The annual summer season brings together some of todayʼs most influential theatrical voices and welcomes the next generation of theater artists as members of the renowned Powerhouse Theater Training Program.

This year's Tony Awards nominations were announced this morning by Lea Michele and Myles Frost and here they are, celebrating the best of the 2022-23 theatre season.

The National Theatre has announced two new productions, Roald Dahl's The Witches, in a co-production with the Roald Dahl Story Company, and The Effect, in association with The Jamie Lloyd Company.

The Huntington announces the cast and creative team of Joy and Pandemic, a new play by renowned playwright and performance artist Taylor Mac and directed by Huntington Artistic Director Loretta Greco, making her Huntington directorial debut. The world premiere production runs from April 21 – May 21, 2023 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA at 527 Tremont Street in the South End.

1776 officially opened on February 16, 2023, at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia, PA, and will make limited engagement stops at major cities across North America. Read the reviews for 1776 on tour here!

A Strange Loop is headed to London this summer! The production will make its premiere at the Barbican Theatre 17 June - 9 September, running for a limited 12-week season.

Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer of A STRANGE LOOP Michael R. Jackson played the role of Usher in yesterday's matinee and evening performances of the show at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway. 

Tonight's performance of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, A Strange Loop,'was canceled just as the audience arrived at the theatre.

Erika Henningsen is leading the world premiere of new musical Joy the Musical at George Street Playhouse, directed by Casey Hushion (Broadway: Aladdin, The Prom), with choreography by Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Joshua Bergasse. The new musical features a score by Tony Award nominee AnnMarie Milazzo, music direction by Rick Edinger, musical supervision by Andy Einhorn and a book by Tony Award winner Ken Davenport, who obtained the rights to the life of best-selling author, inventor, and self-made millionaire Joy Mangano.

George Street Playhouse (GSP) at New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) is presenting 'Joy, The Musical' and the timing is ideal. In this season of wonder and hope, the show is both entertaining and inspiring.

Roundabout Theatre Company will conclude the new Broadway production of the Tony Award-winning musical, 1776, directed by Jeffrey L. Page and Diane Paulus, and co-produced with the American Repertory Theater on Sunday, January 8.
