After more than three decades leading creative operations for one of America’s largest theaters, Tony Award-winner Robert Falls is ending his tenure as Artistic Director of Goodman Theatre. Today, Falls announced his intention to step down next summer at the completion of the current 2021/2022 Season.

TheaterWorksUSA is partnering with BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center once again to bring their high-quality family entertainment to New York City. WINGS: THE MUSICAL is a haunting chamber musical about transcendence and the capacity of the human spirit to soar to unimagined heights. The play revolves around the journey that aviatrix daredevil Emily Stilson takes as she fights her way back to language and comprehension after a stroke.

WINGS at the Firehouse Theatre plays from Thursday, February 15th to Saturday, March 10th

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the longest operating performance venue in lower Manhattan, presents the final event in the 2015-2016 Family Series Season: Charlotte's Web, on Sunday, June 5 at 1:30PM. Charlotte's Web is the final show in BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center's 2015-2016 Family Theater Season, which has featured plays, musicals, puppetry, concerts and dance for all ages.  

Theatreworks USA will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series this Saturday, February 27th, with Charlotte's Web, a play by Joseph Robinette based on the Newbery Medal-winning book by E.B. White (Stuart Little, Trumpet of the Swan) with an incidental music score by Jeffrey Lunden (winner of the Lortel Award, Rodgers Award, and Jonathan Larson Award, and composer of Theatreworks USA productions of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Little Prince, and The Great Railroad Race). This 60-minute play is recommended for audiences age 5 and up.

Theatreworks USA will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series this Saturday, February 13th, with Henry and Mudge? was adapted by bookwriter/lyricist Kait Kerrigan and composer/lyricist Brian Lowdermilk (Jonathan Larson Award-winners) and is based on the best-selling books by Cynthia Rylant, illustrated by Sucie Stevenson. Henry and Mudge premiered Off-Broadway in July 2006 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. This 60-minute musical is recommended for ages 4 and up.

Theatreworks USA (Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Director; Ken Arthur, Producing Director) will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series this Sunday, January 31st, with The Lightning Thief, a musical adapted from the book The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. The Lightning Thief features a book by Joe Tracz with music, lyrics, & orchestrations by Rob Rokicki. The Off-Broadway premiere of The Lightning Thief was nominated for Outstanding Musical by the Lortel Awards in 2015. This 60-minute musical is recommended for audiences age 8 and up.

Theatreworks USA (Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Director; Ken Arthur, Producing Director) will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series this Sunday, January 17th, with Seussical, a condensed one-act version for young audiences of the Broadway musical, adapted from the works of Dr. Seuss, the Off-Broadway premiere of Seussical was nominated for Outstanding Revival by the Lortel Awards in 2008

Artistic Director Amber Mak along with Collective Artistic Associates Justin Brill, Wade Elkins, Michael Gillis, Karen Multer, Steve Multer, Missy Greenburg and Scott Sowinski, have announced LaunchingFWD!, a one-night-only concert event at City Winery Chicago, 1200 W. Randolph Street, tonight, September 22 at 8 pm (doors open at 6 pmfor food and cocktails).

Philadelphia actor Dan Schiff, recently seen on The Media Theatre stage as Max in The Sound of Music, returns to Delaware County's only professional music theatre in the musical Wings. He plays two roles in the Jeffrey Lunden adaptation of Arthur Kopit's play about an aviatrix who suffers a stroke and must rediscover her inner spirit through rehabilitation.

To kick off the celebration of Black History Month, Theatre at the Center's Theatre for Young Audiences will present the Theatreworks USA production of The Color of Justice, a play inspired by events and people surrounding the civil rights case of Brown v. Board of Education.
