The new BrightSide Theatre was just recently started and affirmed by theatergoers of Naperville, IL and its surrounding suburbs. With the success of our inaugural season, Artistic Director Jeffrey Cass and Executive Director Julie Ann Kornak announce BrightSide Theatre's 2012-2013 Season "Modern Masterpieces" - COMPANY, GOD OF CARNAGE, and RENT. These three Modern Masterpieces combined have earned a total of 13 Tony Awards, 13 Drama Desk Awards, 4 Olivier Awards and 1 Pulitzer Prize.
The Jeff Awards have announced 105 nominations in 24 categories for Non-Equity Jeff Awards, which honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract, for productions that opened between April 1, 2009, and March 31, 2010. The Jeff Awards judged the opening nights of 116 productions offered by 55 non-Equity producing organizations and recommended 51 shows for further judging, making those 51 eligible for Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations in all categories.
