Choosing to mount Arthur Miller's enduring classic, The Crucible, can be tricky business. The timeless masterpiece is a well-known, beloved staple of the stage and literature, though its very familiarity often makes it difficult to bring any new insights to the piece. Nonetheless, Portland Players takes on that challenge and manages to mount a stirring, fresh account of Miller's tragedy.

In a brand new teaser clip released in advance of the debut of Who Killed Jigaboo Jones?, playwright Jeff Campbell introduces us to Lefty Caruso, the vampire. Caruso represents all that is wrong with the industry. A character who feeds off the life and creativity of others in order to sustain himself, this archetype is found all throughout hip-hop. Caruso mentions some of his favorite 'jigs' with tongue and cheek verbal brutality, mentioning Chief Keef, Kanye West, and Wu-Tang Clan's Ol' Dirty Bastard. Of the latter Caruso expresses that ODB 'was my favorite Wu-Tang member cause he was a real jig.' Watch below!
