Emmy-winning actress and singer Megan Mullally, who is currently playing Elizabeth in Mel Brooks' musical version of Young Frankenstein on Broadway, will be hosting the 2008 Actors Fund Gala in New York on May 5th. The event, which is being held at Cipriani 42nd Street, will honor Alec Baldwin, Renee Fleming, Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley.

The Commercial Theater Institute (CTI), now in its 27th year, is currently accepting nominations for its Annual Intensive 14-Week Program, which presents hard, factual information on all aspects of commercial theatre producing including Broadway, off-Broadway and the Road, in a very intimate lecture/discussion setting. Strictly limited to 25 participants, the program begins on January 21, 2008, for 14 consecutive Monday night sessions, in the Times Square area.

The Commercial Theatre Institute (CTI) announced its first new program initiative in 24 years, a six week seminar series focusing on the creative development process for theatrical production. The series kicks off on November 12 for six consecutive Monday nights and will feature 4 in depth case studies presented by the entire production/creative team from recent Broadway plays and musicals.
