The Commercial Theatre Institute (CTI) announced its first new program initiative in 24 years, a six week seminar series focusing on the creative development process for theatrical production. The series kicks off on November 12 for six consecutive Monday nights and will feature 4 in depth case studies presented by the entire production/creative team from recent Broadway plays and musicals.

Participation will be limited to 12-15 "advanced" students who have at least some production experience and are currently in the process of developing work for future production.

"Interest in our other programs, the 14 week seminar and 3 day Spring Conference, is at an all time high," commented CTI Program Director, Jed Bernstein, "so it seemed to be the perfect time to introduce a third offering aimed at new producers who are grappling with development of their own projects and want to hear the nuts and bolts of how Broadway's leading producers and creative teams have handled similar issues."

Each week's seminars will involve writers, producers, directors and designers from musicals and dramas and the seminar series will wrap up with 2 sessions in which participants present their own projects to a Blue Ribbon panel for critique and feedback.

Applications are available at www.CommercialTheaterInstitute.com or by calling 212-586-1109 and must be submitted by October 1. Notification will be on or about October 10.
