The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center (MESTC) presents its second annual Segal Center Film Festival on Theatre and Performance (FTP).

Four exciting new original musical works -- Joe Schmoe Saves the World, Gold Mountain, Comic-Con the Musical and Legendale -- chosen from a record 146 submissions will be the focal point of The 2016 ASCAP Foundation Musical Theatre Workshop in Partnership with DreamWorks and The Wallis this week, Feb. 16 - 18, 2016. For the first time, the Workshop will be presented at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and be open to the public.

Rhythmic Circus, the group that electrifies audiences with its hard-hitting tap dancing backed by a live band, vocalists, and renowned beat-boxer Aaron 'Heatbox' Heaton, performs its show titled FEET DON'T FAIL ME NOW! at Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre in Malibu on Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m.

The Award-winning California Youth Conservatory Theatre (CYC), well known for staging some of San Diego's most ambitious and successful youth theatre productions ever, will open a special holiday engagement of the brilliant and controversial hit musical RENT. Inspired by Puccini's La Bohemme, the modern-day rock opera tells the story of a collection of struggling artists and musicians trying to survive and practice their craft in the avant-garde neighborhood of New York's Lower East Side. This incredible production is being directed by CYC Artistic Director and long-time professional actor, Shaun T. Evans. Evans will also star in the show as "Collins."

The San Francisco Italian Athletic Club in the heart of North Beach will host the main event of Cabaret Comico 2015 on Friday, November 13 with original songs and Broadway comedy tunes performed by 16 of the Bay Area's funniest singers and songwriters. And for the first time since its 2013 inaugural event, Cabaret Comico welcomes visitors from the Shaman to Showman festival. At last, some of the cast has been revealed for the upcoming UK tour of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG! The Daily Mail writes that Martin Kemp (as the Childcatcher), Jason Manford (as Caractacus Potts thru April 24), Lee Mead (as Potts beginning May 4), Phill Jupitus and Michelle Collins will star in the show.

The Little Mermen, NYC's favorite Disney cover band, serenaded couples in Washington Square Park to try and get them to kiss.
