The Catamounts Stage Regional Premiere of SPIRITS TO ENFORCE This Month

By:
The Catamounts present SPIRITS TO ENFORCE by Mickle Maher, directed by Amanda Berg Wilson. The production runs tonight, October, 2, through October 17, 2014, at The Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street, Boulder, Colorado.

For the first show of Season Five, The Catamounts joyfully reunite with Mickle Maher, author of their 2014 hit production There Is A Happiness That Morning Is. Swapping randy college lecturers on William Blake for telemarketing superheroes, SPIRITS TO ENFORCE once again combines a keen absurdist sense of humor with hyper-literate and heartfelt storytelling.

SPIRITS opens in what appears to be a mundane call center where a dozen telemarketers work the phones. It soon becomes clear, however, that this is no ordinary office space but the inside of "a dripping, creaking, rusted submarine." And those temps? They're the Fathom Town Enforcers -- superheroes in disguise trying to raise money to mount a production of Shakespeare's beloved "metaphysical revenge comedy," The Tempest.

Shows on October 3, 10 and 17 are at 7pm and followed by a community meal featuring a special release beer from Wild Woods Brewery and show-inspired fare from Heirloom Food Truck. Early bird tickets are $34.00. Shows on October 2, 9, 12 (pre show beer included), 15, and 16 are at 8:00pm. Early bird tickets are $13.00 for preview on October 2. Early bird tickets for the October 9, 15 and 16 are $17.00 and for Industry night on October 12 are $13.00. Show on October 11 is at 4:00pm with pre-show cocktail included. Early bird tickets are $21.00.
