Chart-topping songwriter and Grammy-nominated artist David Nail has spent the last decade leaving his unique mark on modern country music. Now he begins a new chapter with his new project called David Nail and The Well Ravens who will release their debut album Only This and Nothing More via One Five Sound on September 14th. The project is Nail's first independent release and finds the charismatic singer reaching a new creative peak with a record that matches his adept melodic chops - as heard on #1 hits like 'Whatever She's Got' and 'Let It Rain' - with atmospheric rock & roll guitars, lush keyboards, drum loops, and rule-breaking arrangements. Today he released the video for his new single 'Heavy' and spoke with Billboard to reveal more details about the new album.

Arts and Education Council Names Two Winners in 2018 stARTup Competition

The Arts and Education Council (A&E) announced today The Makers Program and the Who Raised You? Listening Collective have been named winners in the 2018 stARTup Competition. A partnership between A&E and the PNC Foundation, the competition fosters innovative ideas for improving St. Louis through the arts. The winners will each receive $10,000 in prize money and one year of space and incubation support in A&E's Centene Center for the Arts, as well as professional development, networking and mentorship opportunities.

Goodspeed is assembling a stellar cast for Cyrano an inspired new take on the Edmond Rostand classic Cyrano de Bergerac. Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Peter Dinklage will develop the title role and film actress Haley Bennett will play Roxanne in this bold new musical. Additional casting will be announced at a later date. This exciting musical is adapted by Erica Schmidt in collaboration with members of the Grammy Award-winning indie alternative band The National. Cyrano will run August 3 - September 2, 2018 at The Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn. This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Arts and Education Council (A&E) announced today that applications are now open for the second annual stARTup Competition for arts entrepreneurs. The competition and program is supported by A&E and the PNC Foundation to foster breakthrough, entrepreneurial ideas on changing the fabric of St. Louis through the arts. The stARTup Competition is one of only two of its kind in the country, along with MIT's Creative Arts Competition. A&E and the PNC Foundation have earmarked $20,000 for the competition.
