In response to critical acclaim and popular demand, Ars Nova, New York's incubator for boundary-pushing theater, extends the sold-out, New York premiere of Underground Railroad Game to October 29.

Ars Nova, New York's incubator for boundary-pushing theater, presents Underground Railroad Game (tonight, September 13, through October 15), created by Jennifer Kidwell and Scott Sheppard with Philadelphia based theater company Lightning Rod Special and directed by Taibi Magar.

SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS, written by Bess Wohl, returns to New York this summer for a strictly limited engagement. Directed by Obie Award-winner Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812), SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS officially opened last night, July 13, for a run at The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street) through September 25, 2016. The Drama League (Executive Artistic Director, Gabriel Shelian-Shanks) gathers today for the 82nd Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony, hosted by 2016 Tony® Award-nominees, Zachary Levi (She Loves Me) and Megan Hilty (Noises Off), in the Broadway Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway). 

The 2016 Drama League Award Nominees for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award were just announced this morning at Sardi's, by Aladdin stars Adam Jacobs, Courtney Reed and James Monroe Iglehart. The world premiere of THE WILDNESS: SKY-PONY'S ROCK FAIRY TALE, with text by Obie Award winner Kyle Jarrow and Lauren Worsham and songs by Kyle Jarrow, presented by Ars Nova in collaboration with The Play Company, plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement, tonight, February 16, through March 19, with an official opening night on Monday, February 29, 2016.

Z Space is pleased to present the world premiere commission of A House Tour of the Infamous Porter Family Mansion with Tour Guide Weston Ludlow Londonderry, a wild comedy and immersive theatrical experience created by Z Space Playwright in Residence Peter Sinn Nachtrieb. The Douglas Morrisson Theatre (DMT) is excited to announce the second production in the 2015-2016 'Bare Bones' staged reading series: Now Circa Then, a sweet-spirited romantic comedy about two historical re-enactors.

2016 at Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Renee Blinkwolt, Managing Director) will include two Off-Broadway productions: the world premiere of The Wildness, Sky-Pony's Rock Fairy Tale directed by Tony-nominee Sam Buntrock, written by and featuring Brooklyn-based band Sky-Pony, fronted by Lauren Worsham (Drama Desk Award winner and Tony nominee) with songs penned by Kyle Jarrow (Obie Award winner) and presented in collaboration with The Play Company; and the New York premiere of Underground Railroad Game created and performed by Jennifer Kidwell and Scott Sheppard in association with Lightning Rod Special; SHOWGASM XXL, a one-night-only 'gasm so big it won't fit in the Ars Nova building, hosted by John Early and featuring Ars Nova All Stars as well as celebrity guests to be announced; and ANT Fest, a new adventure every night with the next wave of Ars Nova's breakthrough artists during four nonstop weeks of wild comedy, music and theater mash-ups.
