Pirate Radio is the newest ensemble comedy from filmmaker Richard Curtis (screenwriter of Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill, and writer/director of Love Actually), spinning the irreverent yet fact-based tale of a seafaring band of rogue rock and roll deejays whose 'pirate radio' captivated and inspired 1960s Britain opens on November 13th.

Two-time Tony Award nominee Liam Neeson will star in the upcoming film, 'Unknown White Male.' Variety is reporting that Neeson will be joined by actresses January Jones and Diane Kruger for the film, which will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, most recently of Orphan notoriety.

The first ever 'Variety's Power of Women' luncheon took place at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel on September 24, 2009. In conjunction with their annual 'Women's Impact Report,' and in partnership with Lifetime Television and Lifetime Movie Network, Variety, the entertainment industry trade publication, brought together an intimate group of Hollywood's most philanthropically impactful women.

The stage at Harpo Studios in Chicago will undergo a radical transformation as it travels back for a 60's themed episode, featuring appearances by cast members of 'Mad Men', and performances by JERSEY BOYS. The show, titled 'Oprah Goes Back in Time - The 60's, will air Monday, September 21.

Stage and screen favorites suchas Meryl Streep, Laura Linney and Alec Baldwin all took home awards for their fantastic work, BroadwayWorld had cameras everywhere from the Red Carpet to the Winners Stage in the Press Room to bring you all the starry action!

Of the top industry accolades presented to performers, only the Screen Actors Guild Awards are selected solely by actors' peers. Two randomly selected panels-one for television and one for film-each comprised of 2,100 Guild members from across the United States, chose this year's Actor and stunt honors nominees. Integrity Voting Systems, the Awards' official teller mailed the nominations secret ballots were mailed on November 26. Voting was completed by noon Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008.
