The New School for Drama was well represented in the 34th Annual Samuel French Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival, which took place this month at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre in New York.

A selection of 40 short plays, chosen from over 450 submissions by playwriting workshops, university theatre programs, and professional companies nationwide will be presented at the 33rd Annual Samuel French Inc.Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival on July 15th.

The launch celebration will include play readings and appearances by many of the winning authors who will be on hand to sign collection copies. The event is FREE and open to the public. Play Group is Ars Nova's vibrant and eclectic group of emerging writers who gather twice a month at Ars Nova to share new work and get peer feedback. The group offers members the chance to develop their plays with peer support, form collaborative relationships and build a strong sense of community within Ars Nova.

The New School for Drama was well represented in the 33rd Annual Samuel French Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival, which featured a selection of 40 plays this past month at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre in New York City.

From a selection of 40 short plays, six plays have been chosen as the winning scripts from the 33rd Annual Samuel French Inc. Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival which concluded yesterday, July 20th.
