Theatrical rights licensor Broadway Licensing, along with the Broadway producers of Head Over Heels (led by Christine Russell, Louise Gund), today announced the immediate availability of 2019 performance rights for school and youth theatrical programs.
Head Over Heels, the new musical comedy featuring the iconic songs of The Go-Go's - the most successful female rock band of all time - will play its final Broadway performance at Hudson Theatre (141 West 44th Street) on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Head Over Heels, which began preview performances on Saturday, June 23 and officially opened on Thursday, July 26, 2018, will have played 188 regular performances and 37 previews.
The cast of Head Over Heels will bring their beat to the 2018 Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS! The parade will be broadcast live from New York City beginning at 9 AM EST on Thursday, November 22. Head Over Heels joins previously announced Broadway cast performances by Dear Evan Hansen and King Kong. Kevin Frazier and correspondent Keltie Knight of 'Entertainment Tonight' will host the three-hour television special featuring portions of the 92nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Emmy Award-winning producers Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss ('The Tony Awards') serve as executive producers; Weiss will also direct.
The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Head Over Heels, featuring the music of the Go-Go's, will be released next month! It is available for pre-order today here!. The album is set for digital release on October 12 and in physical formats on November 9.

Beginning on November 23rdin San Francisco, for a pair of shows at the Fillmore, before heading north - hitting Petaluma, Portland and Seattle. X then head back to Southern California for shows in LA, Orange Country and San Diego. Austin-based indie singer-songwriter Johnny Goudie is gearing up for the release of his solo EP 'Leper Hands' this Thursday, Sept. 13 and his official EP release show at One-2-One Bar also on Sept. 13. Doors for this show are at 7 p.m., with the soulful Aaron Stephens opening at 7:30 p.m. and Johnny Goudie on at 8:30 p.m. Austin pop musician Sarah Dossey and Shy Beast vocalist MC Glaeser will also be singing backup for Goudie at this show.
