I'm talking about the American Theatre Wing, best known as the creator and managing organization of the Tony Awards. But you may not know how much else they do for the theatrical arts, in New York and beyond.

Second Stage Theatre will present the New York premiere of Rajiv Joseph's (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo) Gruesome Playground Injuries featuring Pablo Schreiber and Jennifer Carpenter in 2011, the New York Times reveals today. Scott Ellis will direct. Preview will begin on January 5, 2011, with an opening night scheduled for January 31, 2011.
A rep for A Little Night Music star Bernadette Peters has revealed to the New York Times that Bernadette Peters and Trevor Nunn are hoping to continue their collaboration, possibly in the form of a Follies revival on Broadway. Nunn is possibly going to bring a revival of the Sondheim classic to the West End in 2011, a production which could transfer to Broadway thereafter.
