The world premiere of 17 Orchard Point, a new play starring Tony Award-winner Michele Pawk, will begin performances on Friday, April 25 for a limited four-week Off-Broadway run at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) through May 24. Written by Anton Dudley (Substitution, Getting Home) & Stephanie DiMaggio, and directed by Stella Powell-Jones, 17 Orchard Point will have its official opening night on Sunday, May 4 at 7pm. Lincoln Center Theater has announced that John Aylward, Kristen Bush, Beth Dixon, Barbara Garrick, Jan Maxwell, Luke Niehaus, Kevin O'Rourke and Michael Simpson will be featured in its upcoming production of THE CITY OF CONVERSATION, a new play by Anthony Giardina, directed by Doug Hughes. THE CITY OF CONVERSATION begins previews Thursday, April 10 and opens on Monday, May 5 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). Additional casting for THE CITY OF CONVERSATION will be announced at a later date.

Atlantic Theater Company will present their annual Gala on Monday, February 24, 2014 at The Pierre (2 East 61st Street). Directed by Neil Pepe with musical direction by Matt Gallagher, Writers' Choice will salute Atlantic's iconic playwrights with an evening of unexpected songs.

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere production of Outside Mullingar, the new play by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner John Patrick Shanley, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes, opened last night, January 23 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street) in a strictly limited 11-week engagement. Broadway's Terri White will perform "From Blues To Broadway" at the Arthur Newman Theater in the Joslyn Center on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 2 PM. Considered 'a living legend' in the New York music world, known for her show-stopping, scene-stealing performances, Terri toured as a toddler with her families song and dance act - her specialty was "Me And My Shadow" with her father. As a young lady she headlined at NYC cabaret rooms like 88's, Rose's Turn, and The Duplex. In 1978, her run as understudy to Nell Carter in Ain't Misbehavin' resulted in her going on for an unheard of 112 performances. She later replaced Nell in the 1988 revival but not before her big break playing, strangely enough, octogenarian Joice Heth in the original 1980 production of Barnum. Other shows include: Showboat, Nunsense I & II, Damn Yankees, Bubbling Brown Sugar, Little Shop Of Horrors, and Stepping Out at Radio City with close friend Liza Minnelli and many more, garnering numerous awards and nominations along the way.

The sister program to the company's FRESH ART festival the weekend before, The CANNED Art weekend showcases work Fordham Alumni have finished creating, saved for prosperity in the can. A variety of feature length and short films, documentaries, as well as web-series and sketches will be shown. All screenings will be presented at the Wild Project (195 E. 3rd St., NYC). Admission is $5 per film. In addition, audience members can purchase a $12 “RamPass” to see 3 or more films. To purchase tickets in advance visit www.thewildproject.com. Richard 'Bick' Goss, a noted New York City-based theater director and choreographer, former Bob Fosse dancer, and the Founder and Co-Artistic Director (with Frank Evans) of the non-profit musical theater development organization, Musical Mondays Theatre Lab, died this past Saturday, August 3, from complications related to Parkinson's Disease, which Mr. Goss had battled for more than five years. He was 75 years old.
