Lincoln Center Theater has announced a second, and final, extension of the run of its critically-acclaimed production of THE CITY OF CONVERSATION, a new play by Anthony Giardina, directed by Doug Hughes, through Saturday, July 26 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West. 65th Street).

Just last night, Drama Desk and Tony Award winner Laura Benanti ('The Sound of Music Live!', Gypsy, Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) hosted the 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street). Big winners for the night included Audra McDonald, Bryan Cranston, Jessie Mueller, and Neil Patrick Harris and Jefferson Mays- who tied for Outstanding Actor in a Musical. PTP/NYC (Potomac Theatre Project), in association with Middlebury College, presents its 28th repertory season, its 8th consecutive in New York, running from July 8 - August 10, 2014 in a limited 5-week Off-Broadway engagement at The Atlantic Stage 2, located at 330 West 16th Street between 8th & 9th Avenues in New York City.

The world premiere of 17 Orchard Point, a new play starring Tony Award-winner Michele Pawk, began performances on Friday, April 25 for a limited four-week Off-Broadway run at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) through today, May 24.

The Old Opera House Theatre Company presents Neil Simon's dramatic comedy The Dinner Party, directed by Glenn Frail, tonight, April 25 and April 26, 27, May 2, 3, 4, 2014.

Eligibility and award category designations for the productions under consideration this season were determined by the Drama Desk board of directors with recommendations from the nominating committee. Because of the abundance of great work throughout the season, the Board also authorized the increase in the number of nominees allowed in select categories.
