The award-winning cast of THE NORMAN CONQUESTS; Amelia Bullmore, Jessica Hynes, Stephen Mangan, Ben Miles, Paul Ritter and Amanda Root gathered together at the legendary Sardi's Restaurant (234 West 44th Street) on Wednesday, July 15th to have a 'spot of tea' and bid Broadway farewell. BroadwayWorld.com was there to share some tea before they have to say 'Cheerio' to New York City.

THE NORMAN CONQUESTS, the 2009 Tony Award winner for Best Revival of a Play, is now in its final three weeks on Broadway. The Old Vic's critically acclaimed production of Alan Ayckbourn's comedy trilogy, directed by Matthew Warchus, ends its strictly limited engagement on Sunday, July 26 at Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street).

The first annual Born for Broadway was held Monday, June 22nd at 8:00 p.m. at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street, New York. Directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, director of the recent 'Ragtime' at the Kennedy Center with musical direction by Larry Yurman ('Grey Gardens'), Born for Broadway was a one-night celebrity cabaret, featuring both established Broadway performers as well as undiscovered talent. Proceeds benefit the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

The third annual GAYFEST NYC, the country's premier festival of new gay-themed plays, will be presented June 3-6, 2009 at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, 312 West 36th Street, New York City.
The not-for-profit GAYFEST NYC, Inc. develops new LGBT works for world stages and film and television production and provides in-school elective programs and scholarships for students of Harvey Milk High School. Since June 2007, GAYFEST NYC has presented seventeen scholarships to graduating seniors.
