The cast of My Name is Asher Lev, Ari Brand, Mark Nelson, Ilana Levine, Naama Potok, and Jonathan Raviv come to 92YTribeca on Thursday, March 28 from 12-1pm for a conversation about this highly-praised new play based on the best-selling novel by Chaim Potok (author of The Chosen). The cast will also perform a few of their favorite excerpts from the show.

Gerard Alessandrini's, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING, which received unanimous raves from critics and audiences alike, broke all box-office records at the 47th Street Theatre, and won spots on the Top Ten Lists of Time Magazine and the Associated Press, will wind up its current edition at the 47th Street Theatre on Sunday, April 28, in order to make room for The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre's own season, as required by the show's lease agreement with the theatre. Gerard Alessandrini's, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING, which received unanimous raves from critics and audiences alike, broke all box-office records at the 47th Street Theatre, and won spots on the Top Ten Lists of Time Magazine and the Associated Press, will wind up its current edition at the 47th Street Theatre on Sunday, April 28, in order to make room for The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre's own season, as required by the show's lease agreement with the theatre. In a statement, Mr. Alessandrini said, "We knew from the start that the theatre could only be ours until the end of April. Although we hate to leave town when we're a hit, I actually think this is a perfect time for us to wind up "Alive and Kicking", which has been a thrilling return to New York for us, to take a brief break; and to begin plans to return with another edition later this year." The show, which has recently added extended parodies of Cinderella and the movie version of Les Miz, is also a Critic's Pick for The New York Times, The Daily News and New York Magazine. This edition stars Lindsay Nicole Chambers, Natalie Charle Ellis, Scott Richard Foster, Marcus Stevens and David Caldwell on piano. DRG Record's cast recording FORBIDDEN BROADWAY; ALIVE AND KICKING! On March 8, 2013, The New York Pops continued its 30th season with an evening of swinging favorites in Luck Be a Lady: Megan Hilty Sings Sinatra and More. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke led the orchestra as it tipped its hat to the Rat Pack, Ella Fitzgerald, Marilyn Monroe, and other stars from the golden age of entertainment. The performance featured Megan Hilty, Broadway singer and star of the television show Smash, and Ryan Silverman, one of Broadway's favorite leading men. The program included 'Luck Be a Lady,' 'Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend,' music from Smash and more. BroadwayWorld was there and brings you photos from the concert below!

After opening to critical acclaim, My Name is Asher Lev, the hit play adapted from the novel by Chaim Potok (The Chosen) at The Westside Theatre (407 W. 43rd Street) has just announced that it will extend its run for the third time, through September 1, 2013.

The Broadway Premiere of Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which comes on the heels of its sold-out run at Lincoln Center, has announced a youth rush ticket policy. A number of $37 tickets will be made available for each performance for patrons aged thirty-five and younger. These tickets must be purchased day-of, in-person at the box office and are subject to availability. Valid photo I.D. will be required, and patrons are limited to two rush tickets per performance.

The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel welcomes Tony Award-Winner John Lloyd Young for his Cafe Carlyle debut where he will perform his program 'My Turn.' Mr. Young opens at the Cafe Carlyle through February 23rd where he will be joined by GLEE music producer Tommy Faragher as his music director with a seven piece band including Mr. Faragher on piano/keyboards, John Putnam on guitar, Paul Socolow on bass, Eric Kalb on drums, Goke Erem on violin, Eddy Malave on viola, and Leigh Stuart on Cello.
