Peter LeDonne and Jamie deRoy were again broadcasting from Patsy's Restaurant and this weeks guests included Collin Kelly- Sordelet the 19 year old Montclair, NJ resident who plays Tom & Young Gideon in Sting's new Broadway musical THE LAST SHIP. Also on the program was Manny Kladitis, the founder and president of Niko Companies LTD, a group of theatrical and management Companies. After Jamie deRoy gave her run down of upcoming night life in NYC there was some serious "pillow talk" with the famous Mike Lindell the inventor of "My Pillow". Peter & Jamie were wide awake for his interview having noted they slept on a "My Pillow" the night before and were very well rested.

Last night, legendary vocalist MARILYN MAYE will brought her own style of jazz & show-biz to Iridium NYC, joined by the legendary BUCKY PIZZARELLI, for TWO NIGHTS ONLY, November 5th & 6th at 8:30 & 10:30pm. The reunion of these two 'Tonight Show' alumni is bound to be a musical party. Ms. Maye appeared on 'The Tonight Show' a record 76 times, more than any singer & Mr. Pizzarelli was an original member of 'The Tonight Show Band,' playing with Skitch Henderson.

Joy Behar visited Backstage with Peter LeDonne to talk about the upcoming opening of her new solo play, "Me, My, Mouth and I" which is written and performed by Joy. It will have its world-premiere at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Previews begin Thursday Nov. 6 prior to an official opening which is set for Sunday, Nov. 23. The production will play a limited 7- week engagement through Dec. 21.

Primary Stages just held their annual Gala last night, November 3, 2014 at 583 Park Avenue. The event celebrated the company's 30th anniversary and honor Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies and award-winning producer, Julian Schlossberg. The Honorary Gala Co-Chairs are Brian d'Arcy James, Laura Linney, Elaine May, and Susan Stroman. The evening featured performances and tributes by Tony nominee Nick Cordero(performing from Bullets over Broadway), Charles Busch, Judy Gold, David Ives, the creators of In Transit, Tony winner Frank Langella, Elaine May, Tony winner Billy Porter, Marlo Thomas, Rachel York, and surprise guests. Roundabout Theatre Company presents Tom Stoppard's Tony Award-winning play, The Real Thing, starring Ewan McGregor as 'Henry' and Maggie Gyllenhaal as 'Annie' in their Broadway debuts;Cynthia Nixon as 'Charlotte' and Josh Hamilton as 'Max.' Sam Gold directs the cast of seven, which also includes Alex Breaux as 'Brodie,' Ronan Raftery as 'Billy' and Madeline Weinstein as 'Debbie.' The Real Thing officially opened last night, October 30, 2014 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). This is a limited engagement thru January 4, 2015. The American Society of the University of Haifa held it's 2014 Gala at the American Museum of Natural History last night. Jamie deRoy was the Master of Ceremonies and introduced Ambassador Ido Aharoni,Consul General of Israel who spoke, as well as other dignitaries from the University. At the podium were Yariv Sultan VP, Professor Alfred I. Tauber, Chairman Board of Governors, and Yefet Ozery National Executive Director of ASUH. Sandra Frankel represented the Leona M. and Harry B Helmsley Charitable Trust was presented a Carmel Award of Merit by Leon H. Charney. Audrey Gruss was also presented a Carmel Award which was presented by Professor Alfred I. Tauber. There was a musical performance by Israeli artists Guy Mintus, pianist/compser and opera singer Maya Yahav Gour.

Sabrina Wender and Egidiana Maccioni were the women. The wine and food are legendary and the music on Mondays is always a perfect fit for the elegant and happy atmosphere at Le Cirque cafe. It's a special treat when Sabrina, who happens to be married to one of the Maccioni sons is the musical attraction for the evening. She adds her sophisticated European jazz vocals to the line up of performers who appear on Musical Mondays. Egidiana, who happens to be married to Sirio was coaxed to sing and that made the evening an extra special Le Cirque Musical Monday.

Backstage with Peter LeDonne, which is now broadcasting from the legendary Patsy's Restaurant on 56th street, had Tony Award Winner lyricist and director Martin Charnin and his wife actress/singer Shelly Burch as guests on the show. Jamie deRoy was also on hand to give her suggestions for upcoming theater and cabaret events, one of which was Shelly Burch's appearing at the Metropolitan Room on Oct. 30, 31 and Dec. 4th A special treat was the appearance of owner/chef Sal Scognamillo on the program who presented the cast and crew of 970AM with loot bags containing some great Patsy's sauces. 13th Street Rep's THEATER BOYS Cast Album Out Today

Famed gossip columnist Liz Smith -- 'the Grande Dame of Dish' -- has won countless honors, including an Emmy Award, in her long career. But she's never before been depicted on the stage. In 'Theater Boys' -- the new musical comedy by ASCAP Award-winner Chip Deffaa, now playing at the 13th Street Repertory Theater -- she's not only a character in the show, she's the subject of a whole song about her, a rousing fast-boogie simply titled 'Liz Smith.' That song will also be heard on the show's cast album (sung by Ricky Schroder and the ensemble), being released today, October 18th.

TAIL! SPIN! Extends Off-Broadway Through February 2015

Producers of the new political comedy Tail! Spin!, which opened to rave reviews on October 1 at the Lynn Redgrave Theater at Culture Project have announced a 9-week extension of the run, now scheduled through February 1. (The previous closing date was set for November 30.)
