The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra has announced that it has ratified its collective bargaining agreement through 2020. It has also been awarded an increased grant from The Howard Gilman Foundation.

Orpheus Chamber Orchestra continues its 2017-2018 season on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall with a performance featuring Norwegian cellist Truls M rk in Shostakovich's first Cello Concerto and the world premiere of Shuying Li's Out Came the Sun, inspired by the profound and transformative experience of postpartum motherhood. Also on the program is Handel's Water Music, which is featured on two of Orpheus' internationally acclaimed Deutsche Grammophon albums from 1992 and 2003, and Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite.

Producers Karl Sydow and Paul Elliott are delighted to announce that the new UK production of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage, will mambo back onto the road after a sensational Christmas season in the West End followed by international dates in Bremen and Cannes. The story begins in 1958 and continues through 2011. 'It starts with my childhood and my views as I grew up. Then came the gift of my first son who was labeled autistic, and without speech. He could not tell me his thoughts, so the only place I could go was inside to see my own thoughts, and as I relearned myself, I knew him. Then the awareness I was given allowed me to see within my thoughts, and this is how I met my son at twenty-nine-and-a-half,' says the author.

Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts in Kenner's Rivertown will be the center of the most entertaining political process in history when the Tony Award- winning musical 1776 convenes on the Main Stage November 4 -20, just in time to give voters some relief and diversion from this year's Presidential election mayhem.
