Forward Theater Company will start the new year with a bang by pairing two of Wisconsin's most celebrated actors on stage. Colleen Madden (American Players Theater company member) and James Pickering (Milwaukee stage legend) will debut the Wisconsin premiere of Heisenberg, written by Simon Stephens. This magnetic and emotionally-charged play will be presented in the Playhouse at Overture Center, January 17 - February 3, 2019.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater's holiday classic A Christmas Carol returns to the historic Pabst Theater November 27 - December 24, 2018.  Adapted by Artistic Director Mark Clements, A Christmas Carol is a tale of love, hope and redemption with just the right blend of beautiful music, lively dancing, stunning sets and eye-popping special effects to fill any sized stocking hung by the chimney with care. 

This is a story of family and feeling, with a fanciful little twist. Go if you like the thought of pondering the boxes we put ourselves in-what we believe can or can't be true for us, based on imaginary constructs. Outside Mullingar dares us to challenge those boxes and live knowing that "Life is here! We name it!"

Milwaukee Repertory Theater presents the World Premiere production of Lost Girl by Kimberly Belflower performed by the 2017/18 Professional Training Institute (PTI) ensemble this July 19-22, 2018 in the Stiemke Studio.  PTI is an advanced actor-training program for students in 8th-12th grade who may have an interest in pursuing a career as a professional theater artist.   The 2017/18 PTI ensemble features sixteen students hailing from fourteen different high schools who received free training from some of the top theater professionals in the world, culminating in this capstone performance  of Lost Girl where they will be employed as paid, professional actors.

Milwaukee's Free Shakespeare in the Park (SITP) is pleased to announce their 2018 production of "King Lear". Mr. James Pickering*, a legend of the Milwaukee stage, will appear in the title role and, in her return to Milwaukee, Ms. Lisa Gaye Dixon will direct.
